The PEAT LABEL is a series featuring Chromexcel leather from Horween Leather Company in the U.S., specially commissioned by Nigel Cabourn. It is named after the leather’s color, which evokes the image of peat.
■ These suspenders, simple yet meticulously crafted, are among the most popular items in the Nigel Cabourn collection and are an indispensable accessory for classic styles such as military, workwear, and outdoor fashion.
This product is part of the Japanese-made MAIN LINE and features a design that offers a slightly different look from the suspenders in the AUTHENTIC LINE.
■The leather used is the highest-grade Chromexcel leather from HORWEEN, a long-established American leather manufacturer.
Because it contains more oil than standard leather, it is less prone to cracking and is characterized by its softness. For this product, we’ve infused this Chromexcel leather with oil to the absolute limit, making it even more supple than standard Chromexcel. This allows you to enjoy its aging process more than ever before, creating a leather worthy of many years of cherished use. The DARK BROWN version features a color inspired by peat, while the BROWN version is designed to evoke the color of aged whiskey.
■These are button-style suspenders that combine leather with a rubber band made of cotton thread, natural rubber, and polyester. The rubber band on the back of the DARK BROWN version is olive, while the one on the back of the BROWN version is ivory.
■The leather portion is 24 mm wide, and the elastic band on the back is 38 mm wide.
