This product is based on the so-called “service shoes” once issued by the U.S. Navy and has been designed to meet modern needs.
“Service shoes” refer to military boots issued by the U.S. Navy from the 1940s through the 1990s, which were provided to service members to wear as part of the dress code during special ceremonies and other occasions.
Based on the early 1940s models of these service shoes, we have refined the fine details and design, and upgraded the materials and components to create a masterpiece suitable for the modern era.
The result is a highly versatile pair of shoes that complements both rugged and elegant styles.
■The leather is French calf leather finished in Japan. It features a fine grain and a exceptionally beautiful surface. Its soft texture and rich color are particularly appealing.
■The sole is manufactured by the world-renowned company VIBRAM and offers excellent grip, durability, and abrasion resistance.
■The heel features a QUABAUG heel, which is still produced in the United States today and boasts exceptional durability and abrasion resistance.
■The sole is securely fastened using the Goodyear welt construction method, ensuring a stable build.
This construction method, commonly found in vintage boots and high-end shoes, is characterized by a level of durability that is unmatched by other methods.
One of the main attractions is that repairs—such as sole replacement, full resole, and heel replacement—are possible, allowing you to enjoy these boots for a virtually indefinite period.
