[OX’ED SILVER] MADE IN JAPAN
About OX’ED SILVER… This label researches and analyzes suits—originally worn as workwear by specific laborers, artisans, and artists—as well as the shirts, T-shirts, and other garments worn with them, bringing them back to life for the modern era.
OX’ED SILVER has launched a new series inspired by the vintage clothing worn by agricultural immigrants who moved from Japan to Hawaii in the early 20th century.
At that time, there was a culture of taking fabrics brought from Japan and tailoring them into styles popular locally; this product is designed based on one such motif.
The pattern on this product is inspired by a painting of fighting cocks by the Edo-period artist Ito Jakuchu.
■The fabric is a lightweight rayon. Commonly found in vintage aloha shirts, this fabric is characterized by its unique, soft drape and luster; it is the world’s oldest synthetic fiber, historically known as “artificial silk.”
■It features a trendy, wide boxy silhouette with a relaxed fit. Please check the actual measurements for details.
■This item uses a screen-printing technique, resulting in vibrant colors and a large, striking design.
■The pattern placement varies on each individual item. Please note that you cannot select a specific design.
■Unwashed item.
