About OX’ED SILVER... This label revives, through research and analysis, the suits—originally worn as workwear by specific workers, artisans, and artists—as well as the shirts, T-shirts, and other garments worn with them.
This season’s collection focuses on five professions—blacksmith, master mason, firefighter, architect, and engineer—and incorporates these themes into the designs.
As the name suggests, this product is based on a jacket originally worn by blacksmiths.
■The fabric is a brand-original striped design, woven in a herringbone pattern using wool.

■While modern tailored jackets typically use shoulder padding and wool interlining to structure the shape, this product revives a technique from an earlier era—before the use of such padding and interlining—in which the shape is reinforced and structured by stitching directly into the lining. This is a special jacket unique to Nigel Cabourn, made possible only through his deep understanding of vintage fashion.
■The buttons are luxuriously crafted from buffalo horn, carved from a single piece. Furthermore, the button-carving process was intentionally halted partway to create a rough, unpolished finish—a testament to the designer’s attention to detail.
■The design is inspired by the “lounge jackets” popular in the 1930s, characterized by dropped shoulders and a relaxed fit. Consequently, this jacket features a generous, oversized fit with ample room in the shoulders and body.
