"THE RITE STUFF" is a brand founded by Bryan Shettig, an American designer based in Taiwan, that offers designs inspired by vintage workwear.
The brand’s lineup is crafted by skilled artisans with a meticulous focus on the texture, materials, and stitching characteristic of vintage workwear, offering styles that closely resemble the workwear of the past while incorporating functionality that remains relevant today.
Furthermore, the brand is committed to ensuring that everything—from the fabric and stitching to even the smallest details—is made in Japan by artisans employed under fair labor conditions.
■Based on the design of the Hercules work shirt—often hailed as the pinnacle of vintage work shirts—this shirt is crafted from 5oz chambray fabric. It can be worn year-round.
■Created in collaboration with John Lofgren, a designer at a boot manufacturer with deep expertise in vintage styles, its high quality goes without saying. We highly recommend it to vintage enthusiasts.
■Key features include a chin strap, a back yoke with a pronounced curve, eyelet vents on the back and under the arms for ventilation, and large elbow patches extending from the cuffs.
■Three-needle chain stitching is used at key points to enhance durability.
■The buttons are cat’s-eye buttons that exude a vintage feel. We’ve gone the extra mile with the ecru-colored buttons, using deadstock white mother-of-pearl buttons from the 1920s.
■This item has a washed finish.
