This jacket is made from cotton-nylon fabric and features Nigel Cabourn’s original embroidery, based on a vintage souvenir jacket.

■The outer fabric is made of cotton-nylon “Weather Cross.”
“Weather Cross” strictly refers to a weatherproof fabric.It is the name given to a durable military fabric that withstands rain and wind while being light, thin, and easy to carry.
■The souvenir jacket is said to have originated when U.S. soldiers stationed in Yokosuka after World War II ordered them as souvenirs to take home upon their return to their homeland.
They had the names of the bases where they were stationed, Japanese landscapes, animals such as dragons and tigers, and their own unit insignias embroidered onto the jackets.
■While embroidery on souvenir jackets is traditionally done using a horizontal-motion embroidery machine, this product is created using securing stitches. This allows us to reproduce complex patterns while minimizing the number of thread cores and stitches used. This is not merely a simplification; it is a design achieved through a technique that reinterprets the beauty of horizontal-motion embroidery in a contemporary way.
■The front chest features an embroidered “Nigel Cabourn” design in katakana and the Latin alphabet, while the back is adorned with an embroidered lion, the brand’s logo.
■Although the color name is listed as “GRAY,” the actual color is more like olive green.
■This item has a washed finish.
