■The materials used include high-quality cotton-linen fabric—which is durable, substantial, and has a firm texture—as well as Tochigi leather, tanned with tannins extracted from mimosa bark.
Using these materials, every step—from sewing and painting to washing and assembly—is done entirely by hand, with Japanese artisans involved in the entire process, from raw materials to the final finish. You can enjoy the aging process as the printed areas develop a worn look and the leather changes to an amber hue with use.
■This bag features a 2-way handle design. By overlapping the leather straps to hold them shorter, you can carry it by hand; by holding a single strap longer, you can sling it over your shoulder.
■The herringbone-woven fabric, which has an antique feel, is accented with three colors of paint and a stenciled logo. The logo is airbrushed one by one using a stencil, creating a rich, distinctive look that machine-printed designs cannot match.
