The “PAPA NUI” brand, created by John, who lives in Australia. This collection reimagines military style through the designer’s unique perspective and storytelling.
The brand is committed to having every aspect—from the fabric and stitching to the smallest details—crafted in Japan by fairly employed artisans.
As a tribute to the military, the Japanese flag, the “Hinomaru,” is reimagined as “PAPA MARU” and sewn onto most products in the collection as a trademark.
This cap was designed with inspiration drawn from custom-made squadron caps used during the Korean War.
Crafted from burgundy velour and meticulously hand-embroidered by artisans, the design is brimming with the originality characteristic of Papa Nui, who is deeply knowledgeable about vintage military gear.
The sweatband is made of cotton herringbone fabric, ensuring a durable construction that can withstand years of wear.
