We have reimagined BIG YANK by appointing Yutaka Fujiwara of BerBerJin—a vintage shop specializing in vintage clothing—as our creative director.
The 1930s and 1940s were the era when BIG YANK’s unique details were perfected—the period when BIG YANK was at its most authentic.
This product is the ultimate chambray shirt, incorporating all the details for which patents were applied for at the time: “STORM CUFFS,” “ELBOW ACTION SLEEVES,” “CONVENIENT POCKET,” and “STRAIN-PROOF YOKE.”
■The fabric is rope-dyed indigo selvedge chambray that recreates the texture of the 1940s. It molds to your body the more you wear it, developing a deep, vintage-like patina over time.
■We thoroughly re-examined vintage patterns from the ground up to strike a balance between a modern fit and the aesthetic of the era. Our unique design—featuring relaxed shoulders and neckline, a longer front panel, and a shorter back panel—ensures both ease of movement during work and a beautiful silhouette.
