Lot No. M43035

This model is a reproduction of a 1945-style military chino. While this style—with a split seam and slanted pockets—is typical for chino pants, versions featuring metal buttons (engraved with “U.S. ARMY”) on the front and double-welted pocket openings are rare even among vintage pieces.
It features a deep rise and a loose, wide silhouette.

During World War I, soldiers’ pants were of the “breaches” style, also known as jodhpurs, but by World War II, they had transitioned to the trousers (slacks) style, which was officially adopted by the Army Air Corps in 1937.
However, the trousers issued in the early days were poorly received by soldiers, so the military brought in private companies to improve quality. As a result of these repeated improvements, various styles of military chinos were developed.
■Features a button fly at the front.
■Unwashed item.
