Jackman is a factory brand originating in Fukui Prefecture that carries on the spirit of Mitsugu Tanabe, the founder of Tanabe Meriyasu.
After the war, inspired by American baseball, he left his corporate job to establish a factory. As a man of ideas, he continuously developed new technologies.

Behind it all was a desire to find inner richness through the pursuit of prestige.
Dating back to the days of the Tanabe Knitwear Factory, Jackman’s sewing factory—which has been in operation for over 60 years—uses not only modern sewing machines but also specialized machines like Union Special and REECE, which are essential for professional sewing. These machines are repeatedly repaired in the factory’s on-site repair shop to ensure they remain in service.
Jackman carries on the techniques and spirit of its founding days to provide a high level of satisfaction to those who wear its garments.
