These are sturdily constructed 6-inch logger-style boots. The name “Donkey Puncher” comes from the operators of steam engines known as “steam donkeys,” which were used in the American logging industry around the late 19th century.
■The leather is the highest-grade Chromexcel leather (aniline-finished oil-tanned leather, thickness: 2.0–2.3 mm) from HORWEEN, a long-established American leather manufacturer.
Chromexcel leather contains a high oil content, so it molds comfortably to your feet right from the start. It is also resistant to cracking even with extended wear and is characterized by its thick yet supple texture.
The lining is made from Japanese horsehide, ensuring a comfortable fit and a premium feel.
■ Triple stitching is applied to areas prone to pressure, and the stitching—a hallmark of Japanese craftsmanship—results in a beautiful finish.
■Featuring layered Oak Dark Tan leather and a Woodsman’s heel (with a curved, concave shape on the inside), these boots boast an elegant finish.
■The soles are made by the world-renowned manufacturer VIBRAM, ensuring exceptional durability.
■Includes a removable toe cap (which protects the boot and distributes pressure from the laces).
■Crafted using the Goodyear welt construction—one of the traditional methods for leather shoes—it boasts exceptional durability thanks to its intricate stitching.
