Featuring a highly durable Japanese-made crepe sole, these boots promise all-day comfort, offering exceptional shock absorption and a natural, lightweight feel.
Combining high elasticity with lightness, the JLB Sahara Boots are built to withstand long walks. Their minimalist design and sturdy construction ensure comfort in any setting—whether in the city or on natural terrain.
While honoring tradition, these boots are crafted with a focus on modern functionality—a masterpiece packed with passion and expertise in shoemaking.
The upper is made of thick suede, while the liner features smooth cowhide. Both the upper and liner are crafted from Japanese leather.
The sole is securely attached using the stitch-down construction method.
This construction method is a traditional technique that predates the Goodyear welt construction by quite some time; it results in a sturdy, highly watertight structure that resists water penetration.
It is also characterized by high flexibility and suppleness, providing a comfortable, enveloping fit, and resulting in a lighter shoe.
Due to its robust construction—similar to John Lofgren’s desert boots—it will likely feel noticeably heavier than typical desert boots or other boots that use crepe soles.
While insoles are typically attached later using adhesive, the insole in this product is sewn together with the upper, lining, and leather midsole.
This is the most critical step in supporting your body weight, and by paying close attention to even the smallest, unseen details, you can enjoy a superior level of comfort.
Double stitching is used in areas prone to pressure to enhance durability, and both the shank and crepe sole are made in Japan.
