This aloha shirt features an original color scheme based on an eagle motif traditionally used on Japanese kimonos.

The roots of the aloha shirt are deeply connected to Japan.
The history of the aloha shirt began in the late 19th to early 20th centuries, when Japanese immigrants working on plantations modeled their shirts after the paraka shirts (open-collared shirts) worn by European sailors. They adapted the kimonos they had brought from Japan to create the aloha shirt style.
This shirt represents a fusion of Japanese culture and the Hawaiian way of life, and it also served as a symbol of Japanese pride.Upon seeing these aloha shirts, local Hawaiians began making their own versions in the 1930s, and this is considered the origin of the aloha shirt.
At that time, Hawaii lacked factories capable of dyeing colorful fabrics with rich gradients, so imported fabrics from Japan were used to make aloha shirts.These shirts, created by Japanese immigrants who adapted the traditional Japanese kimono, were closely tied to Japan’s textile industry and dyeing techniques. This led to the development of unique styles and designs,allowing the aloha shirt to take root in Hawaiian culture.

■The fabric is a lightweight rayon. This material is commonly found in vintage aloha shirts and is characterized by its unique, silky texture and sheen; it is the world’s oldest synthetic fiber, historically known as “artificial silk.”
■This shirt features a trendy, wide boxy silhouette with a relaxed fit. Please check the actual measurements for details.
■We use a screen-printing technique, which produces vibrant colors and large, striking designs.
■The pattern placement varies from piece to piece. Please note that you cannot select a specific design.
