This is the black version of Nigel Cabourn’s signature pant, the NEW BASIC CHINO PANT.

■The fabric is the brand’s original chino cloth, woven at high density from soft, lustrous extra-long staple cotton. It strikes a perfect balance between suppleness and sturdiness.
It has also undergone a cold mercerization process, followed by a post-processing step to reduce excess sheen. Furthermore, since the fabric is dyed in the roll without singeing, it achieves an exquisite balance between texture and sheen.
You may notice slight fuzziness in spots along the stitching, which is a testament to this fabric’s exceptionally high density.
The more you wear and wash these chinos, the more they develop a worn-in look, evolving into a rich, textured finish that will allow you to enjoy them for years to come.
■Like our classic BASIC CHINO PANT, this style features a wide silhouette with a slight taper from the hem downward.
This product also features urea buttons. Made from urea resin, these buttons were in common use before plastic buttons were developed. Due to their exceptional strength, they were widely adopted in military and workwear from the 1940s onward.
■With its wide silhouette and slightly oversized fit, we recommend styling this piece with suspenders.
