This is the British Officer’s Shirt, a signature style from “Nigel Cabourn.”
Its most distinctive feature lies in the fabric—an exceptionally fine fabric woven exclusively for “Nigel Cabourn.”
Starting with the selection and blend of short-staple cotton fibers that make up the yarn, the brand uses a custom-made weft yarn produced in-house from the spinning stage.
It takes approximately six months from the start of production to the finished product. Specifically, two months for yarn production, two months for fabric production, and two months for garment production.
If we were to purchase ready-made fabric and turn it into a garment, it would take about two weeks at the fastest.
Even in what appears to be just a single, ordinary Oxford shirt—one that seems unremarkable at first glance—I can sense an extremely high level of quality.
■The fabric was originally designed and woven to evoke the density of the oxford weave used in 1920s French workwear, bringing that classic style back to life for the modern era. It is an Oxford fabric with a density and thickness unmatched by any other, making it a durable fabric that can withstand years of use.
■The design is based on a shirt worn by British Army officers. While it may appear unassuming at first glance, this shirt is packed with Nigel Cabourn’s attention to detail throughout—from the hidden button-down collar to the rounded hem and elegant mother-of-pearl buttons.
