The PEAT LABEL is a series featuring Chromexcel leather specially commissioned by Nigel Cabourn, named for the leather’s color, which evokes the image of peat.
From this PEAT LABEL collection, we’re introducing a tote bag in a size perfect for everyday use.
■“HALFTEX” is a new material developed with the fabric of a World War I-era trench coat—part of Nigel Cabourn’s personal vintage collection—as its inspiration. It achieves the vintage texture and durability of 100-year-old natural cotton canvas, along with remarkable lightness.
HALFTEX is an ultra-lightweight nylon fabric woven from twisted yarns made of hollow-core nylon staple fibers. It is an original material characterized by a “dry, natural texture,” “extremely high nylon rigidity,” and “astonishing lightness due to its hollow-core design.”
■The leather components feature the highest-grade Chromexcel leather from HORWEEN, a long-established American leather manufacturer.
Because it contains more oil than standard leather, it is less prone to cracking and is notably soft. For this product, we’ve infused this Chromexcel leather with oil to the absolute limit, making it even more supple than standard Chromexcel. This allows you to enjoy its aging process more than ever before, resulting in a leather worthy of many years of cherished use.
■The bottom panel is removable, so you can take it out and use the bag as a tote without the panel. This tote offers ample capacity for everyday use.
