【MAIN LINE】 MADE IN JAPAN
From Nigel Cabourn’s 2026 High Summer Collection comes a series inspired by vintage clothing worn by U.S. Navy sailors in the 1940s.
This model features a print based on the “old-school tattoos” that sailors of that era used to have inked on their bodies.
■Different fabrics are used depending on the color.
The INDIGO color uses a cotton-linen dungaree fabric. In addition to the softness of cotton, it also features the dry texture unique to linen, making it comfortable to wear even during hot weather.
The GRAY color uses 100% cotton dungaree fabric.
■Based on the shirt worn by Michael Ward—the physician who accompanied the British mountaineering expedition that first attempted to climb Everest in 1953—this is Nigel Cabourn’s signature shirt, which he himself claims can be worn for 10 years.
■The fabric is doubled from the entire circumference of the armholes to the shoulders and back, as well as from the cuffs to the elbows, resulting in a sturdy, heavily reinforced construction.
■It’s packed with the intricate details found on vintage work shirts, such as the asymmetrical design of the chest pockets, the ventilated back yoke and multiple grommets under the arms, and the cat’s-eye buttons often seen on vintage pieces.
■Unwashed item.
