【AUTHENTIC LINE】 MADE IN U.K.

This model is based on the Cold Weather Parka—an iconic piece of British military vintage wear—with an updated fit.
This product was released as “LIMITED EDITION 4,” part of a limited collection commemorating the 70th anniversary of Sir Edmund Hillary and Sherpa Tenzing Norgay’s historic first ascent of Mount Everest. It is a rare model, with only 100 pieces produced worldwide per style.

■ The outer fabric is made of Ventile.Ventile is a fabric developed by the Royal Air Force during World War II, woven from cotton at an ultra-high density, and boasts excellent waterproofing and airtightness.
■The Cold Weather Parka previously released in the Authentic Line featured a Harris Tweed lining, but this product has been updated to a cotton-polyester blend. This makes it an outerwear piece that can be worn for a longer season.
■The front is designed to securely fasten the front panels with a zipper and buttons, completely blocking out wind and rain. The bottom of the zipper—including the zipper tape—is not sewn to the garment, making it easy to grip the zipper even while wearing gloves. The zipper extends all the way to the neck, and closing the tab protects the respiratory tract.
Additionally, the buttons are luxuriously crafted from buffalo horn. Although they are large in size, this is specifically designed to make it easy to fasten and unfasten the jacket even while wearing gloves.
■The fasteners for the neck tab and the adjustment straps around the hood are made of wood. This is because, in extremely cold temperatures, metal—which has high thermal conductivity—can stick to bare skin and pose a risk of injury.
■It is designed to block cold air from entering from below by tightening the built-in belt at the waist. The metal buckle is a faithful reproduction of the vintage original.
■By adjusting the position of the button on the inside of the back hem, you can customize the length of the back hem.
■The vintage garment that inspired this product was an outer layer produced in the 1950s for Royal Air Force pilots to wear over their flight suits during operations in extremely cold regions. It is said that production was discontinued after a very limited run due to the uncompromising craftsmanship—which disregarded cost—making it a highly renowned item among collectors as the ultimate outer layer.
Please enjoy the ultimate functional beauty and striking presence that only an outer layer designed with pure functionality in mind can offer.
■Unwashed item.
