About OX’ED SILVER… This label revives, through research and analysis, the suits—originally worn as workwear by specific workers, artisans, and artists—as well as the shirts, T-shirts, and other garments worn with them.
This season’s collection focuses on five professions—blacksmith, master mason, firefighter, architect, and engineer—and incorporates their characteristics into the designs.
As the name suggests, this product is based on the pants worn by engineers.
■The fabric is a brand-original salt-and-pepper weave.
We create this yarn by twisting a fine thread (hemp) around a thick thread (wool), using an older-style twisting machine rather than the current models. Compared to modern machines, these older twisting machines produce a less consistent twist coefficient; however, this allows the yarn to be twisted in a more relaxed state, resulting in a fabric with a character that holds its own even when compared to vintage fabrics.

■The front features a button fly, a single hip pocket, a cinch back, and suspenders buttons on the inside of the waistband.
■The buttons are luxuriously crafted from buffalo horn. Furthermore, the manufacturer has deliberately omitted part of the carving process to give the buttons a rugged, raw look—a true testament to their attention to detail.
■The back of the thighs is lined, so the pants slide on smoothly and provide a comfortable fit where you hardly notice the itchy texture of the wool.
■The hem is finished with an overlock stitch, so feel free to hem it to your preference—whether single, double, or otherwise—before wearing.
