This is a collaboration model between NIGEL CABOURN and BELSTAFF.

BELSTAFF is a brand founded in the United Kingdom in 1924 with its roots in motorcycle apparel; it is known as the brand that developed the world’s first “waxed cotton.”Furthermore, the brand has served as an official supplier to the British military since its early days, and thanks to its proven quality and functional beauty, it has been favored by celebrities around the world to this day.
For this collaboration, Nigel Cabourn reimagined the design based on his own collection of BELSTAFF archive pieces. The result is a special collection that fuses the philosophies and aesthetics of both brands.

This product is a special camouflage-patterned model featuring a hand-painted interpretation of BELSTAFF’s iconic “Trial Master” design, which has been translated into a print.


■The outer fabric is an original dry-waxed cotton fabric developed in collaboration with the long-established Scottish company Harley Stephenson & Co.
This material enhances water resistance and wind resistance by impregnating the cotton fabric with wax. Originally developed for hunters and motorcyclists operating in harsh weather conditions, it is known for being first put into practical use by BELSTAFF. It develops a deeper character the more it is used, and its unique patina over time is part of its appeal.
Unlike standard waxed cotton, this fabric uses a “dry wax” finish, resulting in a non-sticky, smooth texture.
■Based on the design of the “Trial Master” motorcycle jacket, which debuted in 1948, this original design features a print inspired by the dirt-race environment—including mud, grass, and vegetation—as seen when the jacket was worn during off-road motorcycle competitions at that time, rendered through hand-painted illustrations.
■The waist belt attached at the hips is a practical design detail symbolic of the “Trial Master,” which prevents wind from entering while cinching the silhouette.
■The body lining features a cotton fabric with a quintessentially British check pattern.
