Furthermore, the brand is committed to ensuring that everything—from the fabric and stitching to even the smallest components—is made in Japan by fairly employed artisans.
This product is designed based on a 1940s Montgomery Ward buffalo-check flannel shirt from the designer’s vintage collection.
While faithfully recreating the details of that era, it is a garment that blends seamlessly with contemporary style.

■The fabric is a thick, 11-ounce cotton flannel woven in Japan. The garment is constructed with the fabric turned inside out, so the brushed side—which would normally be on the outside—is positioned against the skin. This makes the part that touches your skin warmer, ensuring comfort even on cold days.
■The silhouette offers just the right amount of ease around the shoulders, sleeves, cuffs, and from the chest to the waist, ensuring a comfortable fit without restricting movement.
■The collar faithfully reproduces the distinctive shape found on original Montgomery Ward shirts.
■The main seams are finished with double chain stitching, a meticulous detail that enhances durability.
■Both chest pockets feature heavy-duty flaps, and one includes a slit for a pen. Reinforcing gussets are added to both sides of the hem, and the back yoke features a high, slim cut modeled after the original design. Additionally, a single white chain stitch runs along the inside, adding a subtle contrast.
