This model features a design inspired by the British Officers’ Shirt—one of Nigel Cabourn’s signature items—and is crafted from the brand’s original fabric.
Please enjoy this exquisite fabric, made possible only because it was developed from the ground up.
■The fabric used is the brand’s original hemp poplin.
This exceptionally unique fabric is created by spinning hemp into an extremely fine 60-count single yarn and weaving it at high density. It is the result of a meticulous process that includes combing—where short fibers are combed to remove impurities—wet spinning for the yarn, and a salt-shrinking treatment designed to shrink the fabric and increase its density.
At first glance, it may appear no different from ordinary linen, but it is characterized by a firmer texture and a smooth, silky feel against the skin compared to standard linen.
■This design is a reinterpretation of the British Officers Shirt, one of Nigel Cabourn’s signature items.
The changes include a button-down collar (where the buttons are visible), the addition of a chest pocket, pleats added below the back yoke, and the removal of the darts on both sides of the back for a more casual look.
