Based on a 1930s–1940s set-in-sleeve sweatshirt featuring a double-V neckline, this piece has been carefully sized to suit modern styles.
The product name “DEVIL DOG” is a nickname for the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC), derived from the fact that German soldiers feared them and called them “DEVIL DOGS” during World War I.

■The fabric is a medium-weight, brushed sweatshirt material with moderate thickness.
The fabric is plump and substantial, yet not too thick, so it maintains a clean silhouette even when layered.
While vintage sweatshirts are typically constructed with a seamless tube body, they tend to shrink vertically and stretch horizontally. To address this, this product features side seams instead of a seamless tube construction.
■The print is applied using an extremely labor-intensive technique: red and black airbrush prints are applied over a cream-colored vintage flock print.
The vintage flock print is an electro-deposited flock print developed in the 1930s. Because the printing process is time-consuming and carries a risk of fire, it is a technique that only a handful of companies in Japan are capable of performing.
While standard flock prints tend to crack over time, this electroplated flock print is characterized by its uneven texture and the way it peels off gradually with age. The more you wear and wash it, the more you’ll enjoy its vintage-like patina.
Additionally, the appeal of airbrush prints lies in the subtle variations in finish that make each piece unique.
■Since the silhouette is shown as it appears on the unwashed garment, the length appears longer and the body and shoulder widths appear wider than they actually are. After washing, the garment will fit more snugly than shown in the photos, so please select your usual size.
