■This model is a faithful reproduction of a design by ROUGH WEAR, one of the leading manufacturers of A-2 jackets supplied during World War II.
Its rugged form has garnered a large following, and this 1942 model with contract number 27752 is considered one of the iconic A-2 jackets of World War II.
■The leather used is full-vegetable-tanned horsehide, featuring the natural wrinkles and textured surface commonly found in World War II-era A-2 jackets, recreated and perfected in collaboration with a tanner.
The finish involves dyeing the leather with a color close to the final shade during the tanning process, followed by a pigment finish. This process is, of course, faithfully recreated to match World War II standards, allowing you to enjoy the wonderful patina that develops the more you wear it.
■The zipper uses deadstock TALON M-42 zippers (sliders only), the same type used on the original garments from that era.
