"EASTMAN LEATHER CLOTHING" is a British brand that meticulously reproduces vintage flight jackets from the 1939–1945 era, with a focus on American military clothing.
With a history spanning over 30 years, this reproduction manufacturer sources the exact same materials used back then. By commissioning every component down to the finest detail from the original parts manufacturers, they recreate each piece to the exact specifications of the era, bringing these authentic pieces back to life for the modern age.
While its core aesthetic is rooted in military style, its other label, “ELMC,” was launched as a collection inspired by the mid-20th-century motorcycle scene, offering everything from biker styles to sportswear.
■ This design is based on a vintage railman shirt and uses Japanese indigo-dyed cotton fabric. Indigo dye may bleed when worn for the first time. Please avoid wearing it over white T-shirts or similar items. The bleeding will subside after several washes.
■It features a high stand-up collar with a chin strap, a uniquely shaped chest pocket designed to hold a pocket watch, and sturdy triangular gussets on both sides of the hem for reinforcement.
■Double-needle chain stitching is used at key points to enhance durability.
■The lining fabric on the inside of the placket is made from deadstock cotton fabric.To prevent color bleeding, we’ve used a blue heather chambray.
■Features 1920s “unbreakable buttons.” These buttons, often found on vintage pieces, are made of brass that has been heat-treated and coated with a glossy finish; they are extremely durable and high-quality.
