The product name “GEMSA” is derived from a real-life custom parts builder for 1920s four-cylinder hot rods.
Featuring a chest pocket designed for a pocket watch, this shirt incorporates other work shirt-style details while maintaining a clean, slightly cropped silhouette. It’s a popular fall/winter series that offers warmth comparable to a flannel shirt.
■The fabric is the brand’s original “Cotton Calzei”—a thick, tightly woven cotton fabric that, at first glance, resembles wool—in a gray shade with strong blue undertones.
Made from moderately thick, uneven-textured yarns twisted with a high twist and woven at high density, the fabric undergoes a singeing process on the surface to highlight the twill weave and bring out a subtle sheen.
This tough, substantial, and thick fabric develops a vintage-like worn-in look and faded appearance as you wear it over time.
■ The collar features a chin strap, and the left chest pocket is a dual-layered design: one compartment for a pocket watch and another that can be accessed from the top.
■ The cuffs feature rounded edges, ensuring they won’t get in the way or snag during various tasks, maintaining a clean, unobtrusive look.
