This grandpa shirt features a “crazy pattern” created by combining different check patterns, based on a vintage grandpa shirt design.

■The fabric is a cotton flannel of moderate thickness. By intentionally using the side normally intended as the outer fabric as the lining, the outer surface has a brushed texture, while the inner side that touches the skin has a dry, smooth feel.
■The grandpa shirt originated as a work shirt worn by laborers in 19th-century Europe and has a history of being used for various purposes by the militaries of European countries until around the 1960s.
It features a wide spread collar and a longer back hem, making it ideal for wearing on its own or layered under a jacket or blouson.
■Featuring a “crazy pattern” that combines fabrics with different check patterns for the collar, body, and sleeves, this shirt stands out for its fresh, spring- and summer-appropriate color palette.
