This bag is designed after a U.S. Air Force helmet bag.
Helmet bags were first produced in the mid-1940s, after World War II, and were originally designed to carry helmets, oxygen masks, and other equipment.
Although the original design featuredonly a handheld strap, this product has been modified with a shoulder strap to make it more suitable for everyday use.
■The material is a sturdy, moderately thick cotton-nylon blend that feels reliable. This fabric has long been used in outdoor apparel; it is lightweight, highly durable, and offers both water repellency and breathability.
■This model features a print of the “Duck Hunter Camo” pattern, which was used by the U.S. Marine Corps around the 1940s. It has also been treated with a fade finish, allowing you to enjoy its patina as it ages with use.
■As a bag with military origins, it offers a large capacity and excellent functionality. True to its roots, it has more storage space than its appearance suggests—enough to hold an entire helmet—and the two large front pockets are also very handy for storing small items.
■The shoulder strap is removable, allowing you to enjoy a 2-way style. The strap length is adjustable from 60 centimeters to 109 centimeters, so you can carry it either over your shoulder or crossbody.
