1940s–1950s CIVILIAN MILITARY-STYLE CLOTHING
Inspired by cotton trousers officially adopted by the U.S. Army, this model is designed to evoke the civilian style of the late 1940s through the 1950s.
The silhouette is slightly loose yet features a subtle taper.
■The fabric is a cotton waistpoint weave.
Rather than standard chino fabric, this is a waistpoint weave made from high-density, right-twill, two-ply yarn using long-staple combed cotton. It has also undergone a cold mercerization process to give the fabric a crisp texture and luster.
■The edges of the front side pockets feature a bar-tack finish for added strength, while the coin pocket and back pockets have a single-stitch hem.
■The inside of the waistband features buttons for suspenders and a cotton tape made of herringbone twill fabric. The front buttons are urea buttons, a military classic.
