The brand name “ULTIMA THULE” comes from a term used by ancient peoples to describe “the edge of the world (a world yet to be seen).” Derived from this, it has come to signify “the extreme” or “a distant goal.” This product represents a completely new approach, incorporating the workwear, outdoor, and military elements that Free Wheelers has cultivated over the years and elevating them into clothing with modern functionality. Its defining features are original designs specialized for functionality, paired with materials and components that match that standard. Every item released under this label is conceived not merely as clothing but as gear, and these products are designed to pursue both functionality and comfort.
This product is a reversible jacket inspired by the lining used in the M-43 field jacket formerly used by the U.S. Army.

■The outer fabric is a cotton-blend material with high flame-retardant properties. It is not particularly thick and has a texture similar to back satin.
■The lining is made of Polartec® THERMAL PRO fabric. Within Polartec’s fabric series, this material serves as a mid-layer for layering; this product uses a type with a brushed surface resembling fleece. It features long pile and high elasticity, creating an air layer essential for insulation, which provides excellent warmth while also offering high breathability.
■The collar and ribbed sections are made from Cordura nylon fabric, which is highly durable and resistant to abrasion.
■This product is reversible. Depending on which side you wear, it can completely change your look, allowing you to enjoy a variety of outfits with just one piece. Another appealing feature is how lightweight it feels—even more so than it looks.

I usually wear size L/40 in Free Wheelers tops.As usual, I’ll choose size L for this item. It has a slightly loose fit, but not enough to warrant changing the size.
I also wear size L for tops from other brands. For Freewheelers shirts, I wear size 16/M. For pants, I wear a 32-inch waist. Please feel free to use this as a reference.
