This design is based on the coats worn by British mountaineering teams at base camp. Crafted from a brand-original woven blanket fabric, this piece features a signature Nigel Cabourn twist—it has been adapted to be reversible, making it a truly unique masterpiece.
■The fabric is a 100% wool, double-weft jacquard blanket fabric. Due to limitations on the number of weft colors, the pattern is meticulously calculated—taking into account the weaving method and the placement of the front panel, back panel, and sleeves—before being cut and sewn to completion.
It features a dense weave while retaining the soft, fluffy texture characteristic of blanket fabric, offering exceptional warmth.
■The buttons are metal buttons originally designed by the brand, inspired by those once used on European firefighters’ uniforms. The design was inspired by the fact that firefighters were among the staff supporting British mountaineering expeditions, where they were involved in rescue and operational duties—a detail that offers a glimpse into Nigel Cabourn’s signature attention to detail.
