About OX’ED SILVER... This label revives, through research and analysis, the suits—originally worn as workwear by specific workers, artisans, and artists—as well as the shirts, T-shirts, and other garments worn with them.
This season’s collection focuses on two professions—fishermen and ranch workers—and incorporates their styles into the designs.
As the name suggests, this product is designed based on the vests worn by Dutch fishermen.
■The fabric is a brand-original moleskin woven in-house.
This moleskin fabric is dyed with persimmon tannin. Persimmon tannin dyeing is a traditional Japanese vegetable dyeing technique; in addition to imparting a rich texture and appearance, the natural tannins penetrate deeply into the fibers and set, creating an extremely durable coating that significantly increases the fabric’s strength. Furthermore, we apply an iron-mordanting process—also known as “kure-zome”—to achieve a deep, complex dark brown with a grayish undertone.
Iron mordanting is a technique used in plant-based dyeing and woodworking; it is an extremely labor-intensive process that involves reacting a solution containing iron (the mordant) with tannin-rich materials to develop and fix a deep color.

■The buttons are luxuriously crafted from water buffalo horn. Furthermore, the manufacturing process was intentionally left unfinished at certain stages to create a rugged, raw aesthetic.

Persimmon tannin has the characteristic of deepening in color with wear and over time.
This phenomenon occurs because the tannins in the dye react and cause various chemical changes, but please take caution in the following situations.
・Please avoid leaving the item wet or exposed to rain or sweat.
・Be mindful of the ingredients in detergents. We recommend using a neutral detergent.
・Avoid spot cleaning.
・The product may react with moth repellents and desiccants.
・Avoid direct sunlight and store in a dark, well-ventilated place.
The above guidelines address partial or sudden discoloration; however, discoloration itself cannot be completely prevented.
