From Nigel Cabourn’s 2026 High Summer Collection, a new series inspired by vintage clothing worn by U.S. Navy sailors in the 1940s is now available.
This striped T-shirt is designed based on the T-shirts worn by sailors of that era.
■The fabric is a cotton material with a striped pattern known as “Delave Stripe,” featuring a vintage, washed-out look and uneven coloring.The more you wear it, the more the rich fading and unique texture of the fabric emerge, allowing you to enjoy how it ages over time.
■It features a single-fold binder neckline, as seen on U.S. Navy undershirts. By sandwiching a strip of fabric between the neckline and folding it back on one side before sewing, this detail recreates the natural looseness and texture of the collar that develops with wear—a hallmark of vintage pieces.
■This T-shirt features stencil prints that have been dyed into the fabric at key points on the body, incorporating Nigel Cabourn’s signature military-inspired design.
■Made with a seamless, tubular construction, it ensures no seams touch your skin for a stress-free fit. Crafted from fabric of just the right thickness, it can be worn on its own in the summer for a light, breezy feel and is sure to be a versatile layering piece under shirts and other tops.
