Free Wheelers has released its first-ever authentic down jacket.
While items bearing the “Sasquatch” name have been released frequently in the past, this product is a down jacket packed with the meticulous attention to detail unique to Free Wheelers—truly worthy of the name.

■The down used is white down from the Murad breed of ducks, sourced from Bulgaria. The Murad breed is a type of duck raised in the “Valley of Roses”—the world’s largest rose-growing region, located in the southern part of the Balkan Mountains that run through Bulgaria. The abundant water and extreme daily temperature fluctuations create ideal conditions for rose cultivation, and this natural environment is known to provide the perfect breeding conditions for Murad ducks.
These high-quality down feathers, imported from Bulgaria, undergo a thorough purification process at Japanese down processing plants, where dirt and impurities are completely removed. This purification process is crucial—it is a key step that determines the quality of the down. As a result, the down achieves a higher level of loft, transforming it into high-quality down with a fill power of 760.
■The outer fabric is made from a high-density woven cotton fabric called “Master Shield.” By maximizing the thread count to the absolute limit, it is a waterproof fabric that does not let water through, despite being 100% cotton.
Based on technology derived from Ventile—a material developed during World War II to help Royal Air Force pilots survive as long as possible in the cold sea after ejecting from their aircraft—it has been further refined in Japan and boasts a water resistance rating of over 800 mm.
It features the breathability unique to 100% cotton and, due to its ultra-high density, also offers heat resistance—a functional material made in Japan.
■The lining uses a highly durable 100% nylon “Duck Hunter Camo” patterned nylon taffeta fabric.
■The hood features coyote fur trim, and the fur portion can be removed separately for easy care. The entire hood can be fastened with snap buttons to cover the neck.
■The front fastens with snap buttons rather than a zipper. Since the snap buttons are arranged in two vertical rows, you can adjust the fit across the entire body width to ensure a snugger fit when you want to maximize warmth.
■The chest pocket, which features gusseted sides, has a flap secured with Velcro. The pockets on both hems are also flap pockets with Velcro closures and feature a double-layered design with hand warmers on the sides.

Care Instructions
We recommend dry cleaning at a specialty store to prevent shrinkage and loss of shape. The coyote fur attached to the hood can be easily removed using snap buttons.
