PRE-ORDER 2026 / MILITARY DESERT BOOTS / JAPANESE SUEDE / OLIVE
Lot No. LK-019-OLIVE-PREORDER
PRE-ORDER FOR DELIVERY IN AUGUST 2026
Inspired by boots made for South African and British soldiers at Harnell Harry Lee in Cairo during World War II.
From the 1950s onward, desert boots became a staple in the American market, worn by everyone from farmers to the beatniks who were all the rage at the time.
In the UK, they were particularly popular among Mods from the 1960s through the 1980s.
They remain the ultimate smart-casual boots—lightweight and comfortable.
Why not try pairing them with denim, chinos, military-style pants, or shorts?
And they have been passed down as a standard style even today.
While cherishing tradition, we focus on crafting products that fit the modern era—a masterpiece packed with passion and expertise for footwear.
■The leather is Japanese-made suede, and the lining is made of smooth, Japanese-made leather.
■The sole is securely attached using the stitch-down construction method.
This traditional method predates the Goodyear welt construction by quite some time; it results in a sturdy, airtight structure that is highly resistant to water penetration.
It is also characterized by high flexibility and suppleness, providing a comfortable, enveloping fit, and resulting in a lighter shoe.
■Due to their robust construction, John Lofgren’s desert boots will likely feel noticeably heavier than typical desert boots.
While insoles are generally glued in as an aftermarket addition, the insole in this product is sewn together with the upper, lining, and leather midsole.
This is the most critical step in supporting your body weight, and the attention to even the smallest, unseen details elevates these desert boots to a whole new level.
■ Double-stitching is used in areas prone to pressure to enhance durability; the shank is made in Germany, and the crepe sole is made in Japan.
■ Delivered in a special box.

You may notice dark stains on the sole. These are a natural characteristic of crepe soles and result from the manufacturing process. We ask for your understanding before placing your order.
