The leather features an oil- and wax-treated roughout finish, creating a smooth and refined texture.
Compared to standard Chromexcel leather, this leather offers even greater water resistance.
Waxed Fresh Leather was inspired by a true story from World War II, when Horween supplied Chromexcel leather for Marine Corps military boots, and the soldiers themselves applied wax to the outside of the boots to enhance their water resistance.
As you wear the boots, the wax gradually wears away, revealing a suede-like texture that brings out the leather’s true character. Please enjoy the unique patina that develops over time.
The soles are made by the world-renowned manufacturer VIBRAM and offer exceptional durability.
We use American-made 430 soles and heels.
Crafted using the Goodyear welt construction—one of the traditional methods for making leather shoes—these boots boast exceptional durability thanks to their complex stitching.
