“EASTMAN LEATHER CLOTHING” is a British brand that meticulously reproduces vintage flight jackets from the 1939–1945 era, with a focus on American military clothing.

With a history spanning over 30 years, this reproduction manufacturer sources the exact same materials used back then. They commission every component—down to the finest details—from the original parts manufacturers of the era, recreating each piece with the exact same specifications to bring these authentic pieces back to life today.
Their greatest strength lies in in-house production at their own factory, where they maintain quality, refine their techniques, and ensure consistent craftsmanship.
Their aesthetic is centered on military-inspired designs, while their other label, “ELMC,” was launched as a collection inspired by the mid-20th-century motorcycle scene, offering everything from biker styles to sportswear.

The TYPE B-2 cap is a sheepskin flight cap adopted in 1939.In addition to being worn with winter flight jackets such as the TYPE B-3 and TYPE B-6, it was designated as standard issue for ground crew around 1944 and worn alongside the TYPE D-1. This model is a faithful reproduction and reissue of the B-2 cap, down to its form and every detail.

The .50CAL model is part of a collection featuring a special “Timeworn” finish.
To achieve a texture and feel close to vintage, each piece is entirely handmade over the course of more than an hour, with color variations, leather scratches, and scuffs meticulously recreated through processing to produce a vintage-like patina.

We use North American sheepskin, clipped to a pile length of 1/4 inch—the same as the original.Furthermore, this sheepskin undergoes a lengthy 12-week vegetable-tanning process. Afterward, the pigment is applied in multiple layers by hand—a technique known as “hand-applying”—without the use of a spray gun to create a coating, using a method identical to that of the original.
The brim is made from vegetable-tanned steerhide.
