軽快で快適な履き心地のデザートブーツ。伝統を大切にしながらも現代にフィットする物作りを意識し、靴への情熱と専門知識が詰め込まれた逸品です。
デザートブーツの起源は、第二次世界大戦中のビルマ戦線で英国陸軍の兵士が着用していたスエードブーツにさかのぼります。
このスウェードブーツに着想を得て作られたデザートブーツは1950年代にアメリカで人気を博し、それが全世界に広まり、現代にもスタンダードなスタイルとして受け継がれています。
レザーは日本製のスエードを使用し、ライニングはスベリの良い日本製のレザーを使用しています。
ソールはステッチダウン製法でしっかりと固定されています。
この製法はグッドイヤー・ウェルト製法よりもかなり古くからある伝統的な製法で、頑丈で気密性が高く、水が浸入しにくい構造となっています。
また、屈曲性が高くしなやかで足を包み込むような履き心地で、靴の重量も軽くなることが特徴です。
圧力がかかりやすい部分には、ダブルステッチを採用し耐久性を高めています。
