BELSTAFF is a brand founded in the United Kingdom in 1924 with its roots in motorcycle apparel; it is known as the brand that developed the world’s first “waxed cotton.” Furthermore, it has served as an official supplier to the British military since its early days, and thanks to its proven quality and functional beauty, it has been favored by celebrities around the world to this day.
For this collaboration, Nigel Cabourn reimagined designs based on his own collection of BELSTAFF archive pieces. The result is a special collection that fuses the philosophies and aesthetics of both brands.
This product is a special model featuring a luxurious use of sheepskin.
■The material is a luxurious sheepskin that has been beautifully sheared by a long-established Italian manufacturer renowned for its exceptional craftsmanship. While it may appear heavy at first glance, it is lighter to wear than it looks and features soft leather—truly a masterpiece worthy of being called a lifelong companion.
■Belstaff has served as an official supplier to the British military since its early days.The numerous pieces of highly insulated military apparel supplied to the Royal Air Force (RAF) during World War II are still etched in history as masterpieces, and the piece Nigel Cabourn chose as the basis for this collaboration is the “Irvin Jacket,” widely regarded as one of the finest among them.
It features large patch pockets, leather-taped seams, a leather waist belt, and an orange zipper pull and collar.
