Based on vintage denim worn by French rail workers in the 1920s, this design features a deep rise and wide leg, creating a bold silhouette.

■We use original fabrics from a brand that has thoroughly analyzed vintage denim and brought it back to life for today.
The complex, rich texture—which is clearly different from ordinary denim and visible in the vertical direction—is the result of randomly arranging three different thicknesses of yarn in the warp.
Against the backdrop of wartime shortages, this fabric was woven using a method—in which threads of varying thicknesses were arranged in order from one end—that is certainly not a standard practice.
Born during the war and swept away by the tide of mass production, this is a phantom-like denim that existed for only a very brief period.
■This piece features a button-fly front and is a true gem worth noting for its vintage-inspired details, such as large hip pockets secured with rivets, a cinch back, and donut buttons engraved with the Nigel Cabourn logo and a broad arrow.
■Made from 12-ounce denim, this is a slightly lightweight fabric. With its bold, wide silhouette and slightly roomy fit, we recommend pairing these with suspenders.
