■Ventile fabric is used for the outer shell. Ventile is a fabric developed by the Royal Air Force during World War II, woven from cotton at an ultra-high density, and boasts excellent waterproofing and airtightness.
■The filling consists of 95% premium-quality goose down.Typically, even high-quality down garments contain 10–20% feathers to somewhat reduce the loft of the down, but thanks to the exceptional craftsmanship of this product, it contains only 5% feathers. As a result, it boasts exceptional thermal insulation capable of withstanding temperatures as low as minus 40 degrees.
■The hood features internal wire reinforcement, which helps it maintain its shape when worn and prevents wind from entering.The inside of the hood is lined with sheepskin fleece, which wraps around the face when the hood is worn to further enhance thermal insulation.
■ Coyote fur is used around the hood’s edge to prevent wind and snow from entering when the hood is worn. Since coyote fur does not freeze even in extremely cold temperatures, it is commonly used in heavy-duty outerwear. This coyote fur trim is removable.
■Large-capacity flap pockets are featured on both sides of the waist. Each pocket includes side entry pockets on both sides. While the section with the flap at the top is designed primarily for storage, these side pockets are intended to function as hand warmers. For this reason, the pockets themselves are filled with a generous amount of down.
■A cotton herringbone belt is incorporated at the waist.Tightening the waist with this belt further enhances both mobility and warmth.
