About OX’ED SILVER... This label revives, through research and analysis, the suits—originally worn as workwear by specific workers, artisans, and artists—as well as the shirts, T-shirts, and other garments worn with them.
This season’s collection focuses on five professions—blacksmith, master mason, firefighter, architect, and engineer—and incorporates their influences into the designs.
As the name suggests, this product is based on the double-breasted jacket traditionally worn by engineers.
■The fabric used is a brand-original “Salt and Pepper” weave.
The yarn is produced by twisting a fine thread (hemp) around a thick thread (wool) using an old-style twisting machine rather than a modern one.Compared to modern machines, these vintage twisting machines produce a less consistent twist coefficient; however, this allows the yarn to be twisted in a more relaxed state, resulting in a fabric with a character that holds its own even when compared to vintage fabrics.

■ The style is a classic double-breasted jacket with a center vent. This is the first OX'ED SILVER jacket to feature fully cut sleeves.
■ The design is inspired by the “lounge jackets” popular in the 1930s, characterized by dropped shoulders and a relaxed fit, so the jacket has a generous, oversized silhouette with ample room in the shoulders and body. Please check the actual measurements for details.
