This design is based on the chino pants worn by former U.S. General MacArthur—commonly known as “MacArthur Chinos.”
Compared to Nigel Cabourn’s classic “NEW BASIC CHINO PANT,” this style features a more tapered, clean, and relatively slim silhouette, making it perfect for both casual and formal occasions.
■The fabric is the brand’s original chino cloth, woven at high density from soft, lustrous extra-long staple cotton. It is the same fabric used in Nigel Cabourn’s classic “NEW BASIC CHINO PANT,” offering a perfect balance of suppleness and structure.
This product has been further treated with a “Nidom” finish and a bio-wash to achieve an even softer, slightly brushed texture.
You may notice slight fuzziness in spots along the stitching, which is a testament to this fabric’s exceptionally high density.
The more you wear and wash these chinos, the more they develop a worn-in look and evolve into a rich, characterful texture, making them a pair you’ll cherish for years to come.
■The fabric is dyed using coal-derived dyes known as “Slen” dyes.This method offers higher colorfastness than standard dyeing techniques and results in a much deeper, more saturated color, allowing you to fully enjoy the gradual fading and the development of a worn-in look over time.
