1930s MILITARY SHIRT
This model is based on the design of a CPO shirt and has been adapted as a U.S. Navy utility shirt. It features a shorter length suited to modern tastes and a clean, uncluttered silhouette.
■The fabric is the brand’s original “Cotton Calzei”—a thick cotton fabric with a dense weave that, at first glance, resembles wool.
This twill-weave fabric is woven at high density using moderately thick, uneven-textured yarns twisted with a tight twist. A singeing treatment applied to the surface accentuates the twill pattern and brings out a subtle sheen.
The fabric is tough, substantial, and thick, and as you wear it, you’ll enjoy a vintage-like worn-in feel and faded appearance.
■Featuring a longer collar, a slightly angled chest pocket, and an additional button under the placket to prevent the hem from flapping, this piece is labeled as a “shirt” but can also be worn as a shirt jacket thanks to its thick, sturdy fabric.
■The sleeves feature two cuff buttons, and a button is also placed at the center of the longer sword-shaped hem.
■The buttons are classic military-style urea buttons.
■This item has a washed finish.
