1930s STYLE WORK CLOTHING
This shirt is inspired by 1930s mechanic work shirts and is a custom model from “Brystone,” named after Mr. Mar O’Dea, who made a name for himself with custom parts for hot rod cars.
The front features a V8 engine emblem and the Mar Aud logo, while the back showcases a design inspired by the racing car driven by Danny Sakai. Sakai’s car, equipped with an engine customized by Mar Aud, set a record of 125 miles at MUROC in May 1941 and went on to break records again in September of the same year, reaching 126 miles.
■The fabric is a cotton military-weight weather fabric.
It is a plain-woven fabric that uses combed two-ply yarn for the warp and slub yarn for the weft. Although lightweight, it has good body and stiffness; this type of fabric is generally referred to as cotton poplin.
The fabric is moderately lightweight and can be worn year-round.
■The print is applied using a dye-penetration technique. As you wear and wash the garment repeatedly, the print will gradually fade, allowing you to enjoy a rich, vintage-like texture.
■The collar features a chin strap, allowing you to fasten the button on the stand collar and fold it down.
■The chest pockets are generously sized and asymmetrical. The right pocket features a flap, and the interior is lined with a separate fabric for reinforcement at the bottom. The left pocket has a double-layered design with a watch pocket and a pen slot, creating a rugged look characteristic of a work shirt.
■The buttons are 15mm urea buttons that blend seamlessly with the body color.
■Pre-washed item.
