"EASTMAN LEATHER CLOTHING" is a British brand that meticulously reproduces vintage flight jackets from the 1939–1945 era, with a focus on American military clothing.
With a history spanning over 30 years, this reproduction manufacturer—which can truly be called “authentic”—sources the exact same materials used back then. They commission every single component from the original parts manufacturers, down to the finest details, to recreate the jackets with specifications identical to the originals, bringing them back to life for the modern era.
Their greatest strength lies in in-house production at their own factory, where they maintain quality, advance their craftsmanship, and ensure consistent manufacturing.
Their aesthetic is rooted primarily in military style, while their other label, “ELMC,” was launched as a collection inspired by the mid-20th-century motorcycle scene, offering a range of styles from biker wear to sportswear.
■The leather used is full-vegetable-tanned horsehide, recreated and perfected in collaboration with an Italian tannery, featuring a natural, wrinkled texture rich in depth and dimension.
The finish involves dyeing the leather with a color close to the final shade during the tanning process, followed by a final pigment finish. You’ll enjoy its beautiful patina as you wear it over time.
■The lining features custom-made Endzone Twill. This fabric was developed in the 1940s and used in the production of military flight jackets; it is an exceptionally high-quality, luxurious, and durable material.
It is a rayon fabric backed with cotton, and its surprisingly high-density weave creates an ultra-smooth feel that allows the garment to glide effortlessly over your body when putting it on or taking it off.
■Featuring a vintage Darnickel zipper, 100% cotton thread, 100% cotton drill pocket lining, and a brand label woven on a shuttle loom—all sewn at Eastman’s in-house factory.
■The fit is true to size but features a slim, vintage-inspired silhouette. Please refer to the size chart to select your ideal size.
