Inspired by the 1951 model—the final iteration of the XX-type jeans with a leather patch—these denim pants retain the rugged character typical of the XX line while offering a slightly slimmer, more refined silhouette.
The vertical fading is very natural, with neps woven into the fabric; this 14-ounce denim has just the right amount of twill texture and roughness, without looking artificial.
We are confident this pair was born from high-potential yarn spun from special cotton. Furthermore, we switched the rope dyeing process to 100% pure synthetic indigo, increasing the number of dyeing passes while maintaining the core whiteness, and enhanced the neps to clearly improve the texture and twill definition in the weave.
■This denim uses yarn and a weaving method nearly identical to the 1947 model, but features a dye with a slightly stronger blue hue.
■Compared to the 1947 model, the silhouette features a sleeker hip line and a slightly shallower rise, resulting in a straight-leg cut.
■With rust-proofed button tops, center-fastened belt loops, and red rayon tabs on both sides of the back pockets... these meticulous details come together to create a masterpiece that embodies the Free Wheelers aesthetic.
