"THE RITE STUFF" is a brand founded by Bryan Shettig, an American designer based in Taiwan, that specializes in designs inspired by vintage workwear.
The brand is committed to the texture, materials, and stitching characteristic of vintage workwear. Crafted by skilled artisans, its products closely replicate the work styles of the past while offering functionality that remains relevant today.
Furthermore, the brand is committed to ensuring that everything—from the fabric and stitching to even the smallest components—is made in Japan by fairly employed artisans.
■Based on a design inspired by 1930s work pants, these pants are made from 10-ounce selvedge twisted heather chambray fabric woven in Japan.
Twisted-mottled fabric is a vintage-style material woven from yarns created by twisting together threads of different colors; it is also known as “salt & pepper” due to its mottled, richly textured appearance. It can be worn year-round.
This fabric was commonly used for workwear in the first half of the 20th century. It was highly popular among workers such as mechanics because it was durable yet lightweight, and stains were less noticeable on it.
■Featured by a bold, wide silhouette with a generous leg opening.
■The front features a button fly with Japanese-made urea buttons.
■The inner waistband and seat are made from 5oz Japanese-made indigo wabash stripe fabric.
■Suspenders buttons—not found on previous versions of this model—have been added, allowing for a wider range of styling options.
■Pre-washed item.
